如果有机会在国际友人面前推介家乡，你用什么做开场白？

当地时间2月26日至3月1日，第六届联合国环境大会在肯尼亚首都内罗毕召开，来自180多个联合国会员国的数千名代表出席，共商多边主义框架下的全球环境治理问题。

“Firstly, I would like to share with you the beautiful scenery of Lijiang River（首先，我想和大家一起分享漓江的美丽风景）……”在其间举行的一场主题边会上，应邀参会的广西壮族自治区生态环境厅厅长陈亮，拿出了一张20元人民币，用流利的英语介绍起来。

顺着他的手指，可以看到这张纸币背面的图案：位于桂林漓江精华段兴坪古镇境内元宝山处的“黄布倒影”景点，一位渔夫只身穿梭于山水之间，画面唯美。

“在《阿凡达》《星球大战》等好莱坞电影场景中都能找到漓江的身影。”“为了更好地保护漓江，政府和个人都做出大量的工作，包括制定法规政策、建设海绵城市等。”陈亮以“保护漓江，延续地球之美”为主题，向与会代表分享了漓江水生态环境、生物多样性保护和可持续绿色发展的实践经验。

“我们希望能在广西，在桂林，在漓江招待大家。”桂林市副市长龙杏华也率团参会，通过立体展板、宣传画册、文创产品等形式，进一步对外推介漓江山水这张生态环境保护的“国际名片”。

本届联合国环境大会的主题为“采取有效、包容和可持续的多边行动，应对气候变化、生物多样性丧失和污染”。近年来，中国在助力全球绿色转型和减少碳排放方面发挥了巨大作用。

“举目所及，肯尼亚道路上几乎所有的电动汽车都来自中国。其中还看到了五菱新能源车的身影，很亲切。”一名随团与会的广西代表说。

一手抓生态环境保护，一手抓生态经济发展。广西“绿色家底”殷实，从容自信走向世界。

Your excellency ministers,

Distinguished Guests, Friends,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Jambo.

Firstly, I would like to share with you the beautiful scenery of Lijiang River, printed on the back of 20 Yuan. This is the symbol of Lijiang, and the stamps collection of Lijiang in your blue bags on your desk or under the desk.

Lijiang is located in Guilin, Guangxi, China, and famous for its rich biodiversity, being the largest and most beautiful karst landscape of the world. As described by Han Yu, the Tang Dynasty great poet, “The river flows like a green silk ribbon, while the hills are shaped like jade hairpins” .

Since the 1970s, over 200 heads of States and dignitaries as well as leaders of UN system, including former UN Secretary-General Javier Pérez de Cuéllar, visited and been amazed, which may be found in Hollywood movies like Avatar and Star Wars. Lijiang River is on “World Natural Heritage List”, etc.

To better preserve Lijiang River, especially the biodiversity, governmental and individual efforts have been made, including enacting laws, constructing sponge city. The Lijiang Ecological Environment Quality Report(2022) was unveiled for the first time, which shows an overall very good quality. The Index of the Lijiang Quality(2023) was promoted constantly and will be released on 25-April 2024, The day of Lijiang protection. NGOs and volunteers from home and abroad, such as a local man Yang Bolun, and Ian Hamilton, a famous South African architect, have also made years’ efforts in protecting Lijiang.

Now we are building Guilin into a world-class tourist city. Welcome to visit Lijiang, you will be impressed very very deeply. Finally, I believe the COP16 will get a big success as well as COP15.
